SailCork celebrates 35 years training afloat!
From humble beginnings in 1974 "Eddie English's Sailing School" grew to "Cork Harbour Sail Training Centre" to "International Sailing Centre" to "International Sailing"and finally to "SailCork"! Our blog will tell our story remembering the "bad old days" in Cobh. From dinghy sailing racing from the "Town Clock Slip" to the National Windsurfing Championships to cruiser delivery trips from Europe and the UK to West Cork sailing fun and great times in Cobh.
Follow our story on line and if you are part of our past come and celebrate our 35th birthday with us! If you are a past pupil or instructor or one of our good friends we want to hear your sailing stories and if you want to be part of our celebrations on May 22-24 contact us immediately for your invitation! This will be a great weekend with sailing, powerboating, racing, bouncy castle, barbecue, beer and band!
See our blog and follow the "Holy Grounder" up and down the South Cork coastline. Visit the stunning harbours of Kinsale, Courtmacsherry, Glandore, Union Hall, Castletownsend, Baltimore, Schull, Crookhaven and lots more! Circumnavigate Cape Clear, Sherkin, Hare, Horse, Castle, Long and lots more magical islands. As our summer cruises progress aboard the "Holy Grounder" I will be reporting back in our blog - and building up a list of great information on ruising the best waters in the world!
Follow the cruises of our team and pupils at home and abroad. Hear stories of past pupils and instructors as they ply the seven seas. Get tips on improving your sailing, powerboating and navigation skills. See comments on our weather and climate - there will be lots of interesting information coming to you every week from SailCork.
