You can avail of your SailCork Commercial Yachtmaster Offshore Skipper to brush up on any part of the practical yachting syllabus including Compentent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore. You will get an opportunity to handle the boat, set sails, navigate etc.

Fine tune your skills and add miles to your log book in preparation for further qualification (Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore). The course includes at least one ‘qualifying passage’, to meet Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore logbook requirements. Experience the rhythm of long distance sailing and the challenge of island and coastal pilotage.
The Wild Atlantic Way extends from Donegal to Kinsale Harbour. We tend to expore the southern part from the Shannon Estuary to Kinsale, including visits to ports and habours such as Fenit, Brandon Bay, Dingle, Knightstown, Portmagee, Kenmare River, Dursey Island, Castletownbere, Bantry Bay, Dunmanus Bay, Crookhaven, Schull, Baltimore, Hare Island, Cape Clear, Sherkin Island, Baltimore, Ilen River, Roaringwater Bay, Barlogue Creek (Lough Hyne), Castletownshend, Union Hall and Glandore, Courtmacsherry and Kinsale.
The Boat has full safety equipment, all nav. aids and powerful engines. The safety equipment includes lifejackets and harnesses for each crew member. Waterproofs are available on request.
Soft bag with change of warm clothes, toiletries, sleeping bag. Your own sailing equipment if you have them – waterproofs, torch, sailing knife, books: Personal Logbook, Comp Crew Book. Kitty, pocket money
Most meals are pre-prepared by our qualified Galley Cook. Nothing better than sitting at the table in the saloon for a meal with fellow crewmembers after a hard day’s sailing!

Have completed at least one of the following: Competent Crew, Day Skipper Practical, Day Skipper Navigation, Coastal Skipper Practical, Yachtmaster Navigation.
Study weather and tides (click here). Study area on relevant charts (click here – Navionics). Eat before joining on evening course. Bag packed as advised – soft bag. Study the coast from Kinsale to Fenit on Google Earth.
