The ISA Senior Instructor is an experienced Instructor who leads a team of ISA Instructors in the safe and effective delivery of ISA accredited training courses within an ISA Training Centre. In doing so they will act as leader, manager, technical expert. Our training brings the best out in the candidates and helps build their confidence to become an effective leader and manager.

Length of Course | 5 days, either as a one week course or over a long and a short weekend. |
Objective | You will be trained and prepared to manage ISA Training Courses and supervise a team of instructors. |
Location | SailCork's base at East Ferry in Cork Harbour, with waters suitable for sailing in all weathers. Full facilities including a chartroom for briefings, changing rooms, easy access to the water for dinghies and marina for larger boats. |
What to bring | Your personal powerboating and/or sailing gear, suitable for powerboating and/or sailing in all conditions. Clothing suitable to enter the water appropriate to the season (i.e. wetsuit or drysuit). Buoyancy aid. Knife and whistle. Notebook and pen. Instructor Logbook(s). |
Meals | Bring a packed lunch as well as snack and drink for mid morning. |

Pre Course | Valid ISA Powerboat/SBSS Instructor Qualification. Minimum age 19 years. Recommendation from each of Centre Principal and Senior Instructor. Valid Emergency Care Certificate. SRC VHF Radio (Modules 1 & 2). Powerboat: At least 26 days working as an ISA Instructor, over at least 2 seasons and in at least 2 organisations. SBSS: At least 50 days delivering SBSS spread over 2 seasons in at least 2 centres. Safety Boat Certificate. |
