A special online interactive course which you can enjoy from your home or office using  Zoom .Our presenter, Eddie English has sailed this coastline nearly 100 times! The session will be punctuated with breaks so you can ask questions or you can text in your questions or comments into the chat box at any time.Eddie's co-presenter will be Cruising Instructor Peter Scallan.

Eddie will go through every detail of the Cork Coast from Youghal to Mizen Head (Circa 80 miles). We will help you to plan your voyage "West" (or"East"!) this year.  Learn about the ports of Youghal, Knockadoon, Ballycotton, Oysterhaven, Kinsale, Courtmacsherry, Glandore, UnionHall, Castletownsend, Barlogue.. Learn too about excellent safe, scenic anchorages and our magical coastline - Eddie will give you all his secrets! Enjoy safe navigating and get the best from Cork's south coast - all from the comfort of your own home.

Length of Course 2 1/4 hour + Q&A for 1 evening 19:30-21:45
Objective Be prepared for cruising along the South Cork coast. To get full passage information on this coastline and to look at pilotage in the multitude of excellent harbours and anchorages.
Location The comfortable surroundings of your own home or office. All you need is a computer, laptop or phone.

Syllabus

Syllabus includes information on  crew and boat preparation, destination research including pilotage, chartwork and shoreside. Navigational planning- including chartwork, tide work, best routes and alternative destinations. Met. information before and during trip, safety aspects, customs and legal requirements.
